In this performance sven pushed the boundaries with which he normally use his body and soul to make art. Through his body as an extension of his soul he translated his feelings on the canvas in a more physical way.
He wanted to go on an internal journey in which I looked for the primary feelings that guide him in the making of the work. And eventually to become one with it.
The performance took place on a large white canvas which, as the journey progressed, filled up with paint. There was not a predetermined duration, the feeling determines when the work and thus the performance was complete.
Because he worked blindfolded, he had to rely on his other senses that were be partly influenced by the music and his physical and mental stamina. Music played an essential role in this, Michael Vultoo created live music as the accompaniment of his journey.
The entire performance was an internal journey that translated externally into movement and ultimately resulted in the work.
